This is a walk full of outstanding beauty in rural Northamptonshire farming country. Starting from the wonderful parkland of the Fawsley Estate, the route takes the Knightley Way to Preston Capes, a village of old-world charm, then on to Everdon and Little Everdon, to take the Nene Way almost to Newnham before circling round back to Fawsley Park.

The undulating countryside with its patchwork fields, pockets of woodland and attractive dwellings, make up a fine tapestry of a perfect picture. The delight of viewing seemingly endless English countryside is pure pleasure and a constant feature of this most enjoyable walk.

The churches encountered on the route are all so different and interesting in their own right, a reminder of the wealth of design and character of the many that stand so appealingly in this country.

Although there are a few climbs, this walk should present no problems to the reasonably fit and is well worth the effort.

Nice walk but at point 4 near Manor Farm no stile or indeed steps leading to stile were found and whilst the Knightley Way footpath signs are shown the only way to get back onto it is climbing over a black farm gate. Some good views all the way around on this walk
