Starting at Felixstowe station this circular route is an easy walk following residential roads, a few field paths and a beautiful stretch along the sea front before returning via the town centre with its vast array of shops and food outlets.
The instructions along the section of the sea front are via roads due to the fact that when the tide is in you can't follow the coastal path without heading back to the roads a few times. So, you have a choice here depending on whether the tide is in or not, but either way you still end up at waymark 13 where you turn right away from the coast to the town centre.
