Starting from the edge of Fenny Compton, this walk immediately enters fields to reach and cross the railway. It continues on agricultural land and through pastures, but always in fields of varying size and nature. At many points it crosses brooks and streams and is mostly on level ground, with just one or two slight inclines. The tiny village of Knightcote is visited, with its handsome manor-house and charming old cottages and houses, some of them half-timbered, before continuing in more fields on the way back to Fenny Compton. Good open views are always present, the Dassett Hills in close proximity, contrasting strikingly with the rolling Warwickshire farmland. Fenny Compton is a large village with interesting streets of old dwellings that differ in size, design and material; there is a well-stocked village store and several pubs.

Good pleasant walk on a sunny march afternoon. We stopped for about 40 mins in knightcote, and it took about 3.5 hours at our pace. Could not find the path at the start by the old police house, the sign must be missing. We worked it out from the map and the rest of the directions were great.
