Save Our Footpaths - get off the beaten track, this circular walk includes footpaths which are not often used. There's a lot of variety on this walk, some navigation challenges, some jungle to fight through and cattle, horses, and sheep to contend with. You will come across a good variety of footpath gates, bridges and stiles, all of them in fair order. As long as you can find the hidden stile you shouldn't go far wrong; and the rolling scenery is quite good too.

This walk is probably most suitable for older teenagers, senior citizens and anyone in-between. The stiles are fine for smaller dogs and are often next to field gates which can easily be opened; but the route is hopeless for wheelchairs and buggies. Suitable footwear will be anything stout and flat soled, but boots will be best, especially if there has recently been heavy rain as the paths could be muddy with numerous puddles. Avoid wearing shorts as there will be lots of nettles, thistles and brambles to do battle with, and taking some small secateurs would be very useful.

On your route there are occasional bench seats, but no other facilities except at the pub at the start and finish. If you book in advance, you should be able to get a good meal with a drink; an excellent finish to a good walk.
