This easy walk affords good views of the North Wales coast as well as of the upper reaches of the Mersey and the Liverpool skyline. It is attractively varied, with a mixture of beach, dunes and woodland.

The walk is completely on the level except where the dunes have to be crossed. The outward leg is south through pinewoods and open grassland and the return leg is northwards along the beach.

The beach is outstanding in winter for seeing waders, whilst the coastline is a good place in spring and autumn for migrating birds.
