The route uses part of the 'Heart of Suffolk Way' path and is along field edges, tracks and country lanes. It passes many pretty dwellings, including the small but thatched Cucumber Hall. Fressingfield is a mixture of old and new and has a magnificent church, a pub, The Swan and the Fox & Goose.

Cracking walk on great paths. Will do this one again. Excellent views, even a valley. Point 6 (turn left at sign) it seems they want you to walk down the drive and turn right at buildings and walk 70 yards to pick up good path as field path is blocked from the road. Spoke to landowner and it is what the locals do. Point 11 the path has a small diversion from OS map (instructions are Correct) after first field, but is well waymarked.
