From Giant's Cave, between Banbury and Broughton, the walk takes footpaths, bridleways, permitted paths and tracks through beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The route circles lush farmland and wanders through wooded areas before approaching North Newington and Broughton. From Wykham Lane it heads towards Crouch Hill Farm then takes the old Salt Way, an ancient green lane, to return to Giant's Cave.

5/4/2019 - Mark Smith

Enjoyed the walk on 3/5/19 until we reached Crouch farm between points 11 and 12. The route goes through paddocks which are currently occupied by cows with very long horns. Decided to detour back to Wyckam Lane instead.

6/7/2014 - Richard Moisey

Enjoyed this walk on 6 June 2014 with sunshine and a pleasant breeze. Really good rural walk. Note that at point 11 the footbridge is hard to spot as the hedgerow is growing across it.
