From the picturesque and informative little picnic spot at Gisclareny, we begin with a long descent down a wide track following the course of the mountain stream Gisclareny, enjoying the wonderful woodland and mountain scenery. Later we face about 45 minutes of steady climbing up a footpath that twists and turns its way upwards. Reaching a flatter area we now have a much easier ramble to reach the iconic little church of Sant Miguel de Turbians, perched on the top of the spectacular Coll de Sant Miguel. After enjoying the quite amazing scenery, including views to the twin peaks of the Pedraforca mountains, we continue upwards to join a quiet tarmac lane. This gently descending lane leads back to the start.
