This is a very enjoyable walk; no stiles and the only road-walking is through the village of Great Bircham. The paths are in good order and mostly beside field edges, from where there are panoramic views of the countryside. The route uses the permissive DEFRA paths which are in force for 10 to 12 years. There is an excellent pub / hotel in Great Bircham which also has good accommodation.

A very pleasant walk, straightforward with plenty of hares and some great views over North Norfolk. At the back of St Mary's Church is a very peaceful and beautifully maintained area of land that contains the graves of 80 men and women who served us in WW2. So many and all so very young. I felt it a great privilege to eat my lunch sitting next to these brave souls. I will go back with the grandchildren to tell them the story. St. Andrews is also worth a view, eerie, creepy and with a great sense of mystery. It saw its last service in 1941 so has lain alone to the elements for a very long time.

Very pleasant walk. Lots of deer and hares. In the town is a wonderful cafe next to (part of?) the shop. Its also licensed ...food is amazing especially Friday evenings in the courtyard. Well worth a stop!
