What a delightful walk this is in rural Essex. There is a splendid section on a high banked path beide Hamford Water and then beside the North Sea with superb views towards Harwich. There is a small section of beach near the end of the sea wall which is great if you fancy having a break along the way. The rest of the walk involves field-paths and quiet country lanes with beautiful views along these sections. It is a perfect walk for all the family.

Points 18 and 19, the farmer obviously doesn’t like walkers, there was no path at all, even round the field edge. We had to walk through his field of waist high crops , cross stinging nettles to get to the next field which was just as bad if not worse than the first field due to more stinging nettles and thistles.
