Starting at Great Tey Village Hall you soon follow a stretch of the Essex Way through beautiful countryside. After passing through Bacon's Farm you follow field paths before passing Wick Farm out to a country lane. After walking down the lane, you cross more fields through Aldham to eventually arrive at a residential road at Marks Tey. You follow this soon passing Marks Tey Station to arrive at the A120. You now walk on the footpath beside the road for about a mile before turning off through more fields to arrive back at Great Tey.
