This rural walk is through pretty villages and you pass four churches along the route. The paths are in good order and well-signed and there are no stiles to climb as you travel along field edges, tracks and country lanes. The Wheatsheaf Inn is a very popular one for food and welcomes walkers.

At point 5 we got lost as the field ahead had been turned into 2 pig enclosures and was so muddy any trace of a path had been obliterated and we never saw any marker signs but eventually could see that we should have gone straight across the mud (this was n a hot summers day in May). The Wheatsheaf Inn was very accommodating even though we were an hour late and served lovely food in a delightful beer garden.
