From the village of Nant Peris, which is situated between Llanberis and Pen-y-Pass, you will find plenty of car parking, though the Vaynol Arms is recommended as it is quite famous locally for the reception given to walkers. Proceed towards Llanberis and head for the edge of the lakes that feed Electric Mountain.
Llanberis is a short drive away and is well worth a visit, with plenty of shops, slate museum, diving school, lake railway (not forgetting the Snowdon Railway) and if hungry you must go to Pete's Eats, where you will rarely finish your meal!
