A short circular walk from the little 12th century Parish Church of Hailes to visit the village of Greet amidst Cotswold farmland. The passing scenes are wonderful and the views are far reaching over marvellous landscape, with no challenging climbs. Combine the walk with a visit to Hailes Abbey, and allow your imagination to be transported to the days of the Cistercian monks. Spend a few minutes more to peek in to the cool, sacred interior of the church, where very old wall paintings have been uncovered.

We wish we were early enough to see the Abbey, which you walk past on your way in & out. A nice length a ramble with the dogs, several sightings of steam trains along the way.
