From one charming village to another, this superb walk starts from Hailey and visits Leafield, taking quiet country lanes and ancient tracks. The old disused airfield, along the Roman Akerman Street, was used during the Second World War for the nations's security and one is filled with gratitude upon contemplation. The route runs through and alongside wooded areas, with their own air of peaceful mystery and loveliness. The Cotswold stone dwellings and walls that divide fields are typical of this area, complementing the rural scenes in this most wondrous part of England. With no great climbs, this is a walk that will appeal to most, with outstanding beauty a constant theme.

A nice walk with clear instructions. A good walk to do after all this heavy rain as there were only 2 or 3 muddy bits that could be easily traversed provided wearing boots.
