Hampstead Norreys - Frilsham - Yattendon - Ashampstead - Hampstead Norreys

Starting in the village of Hampstead Norreys, the walk heads south through woodland and open fields to reach the hamlet of Eling. It then crosses the M4, then further woodland to reach the famous Pot Kiln pub in Frilsham, where a stop is highly recommended. From here, the route goes north through more woodland before crossing the M4 once more.

Continuing north, the walk passes by the West Berkshire Brewery shop before entering the pretty village of Yattendon with its church, shops and pub. The walk then heads north over fields to reach the B4009 to west of Ashampstead.

The next stretch involves walking next to the old Hampstead Norreys aerodrome where you may see some old aircraft taking off at weekends. The final leg of the walk involves a woodland walk, then a steep descent with great village views before the option of visiting the pub or community shop in Hampstead Norreys.
