This is a very enjoyable walk, three miles of it beside the River Yare, where sailing and motor-boats pass up and down. Across the river can be seen the Cantley sugar beet factory built in the 1920s. After the river the walk is along tracks, woodland and quiet country lanes. There is one stile and the paths should be in good order and well-signed, as it is part of the new long-distance path Wherryman's Way, which runs from Norwich Station to Great Yarmouth Station.

There are no pubs, cafes or shops en route.
