This is a pleasant half-day walk close to the English border, with good views to Beeston Castle and the Peckforton Hills. Bilberry Wood is a mature woodland with plenty of wildlife and also views of the mediaeval castle and its replacement of 1752.

Lovely invigorating walk despite some very wet areas, however, a number of stiles are not dog friendly.
