We follow the forest track, then onto a path to visit Berthele's Stone in the woodland before climbing up through the trees onto Hepburn Moor. From here the views are magnificent at the site of a fort. A quick climb down the crags and the woodland brings us back to the car park.

Section 8 - 9 is not very clearly defined and we could not find a picnic table anywhere! We could not find the z-g-zag path down the crags at point 9 and had to really scramble down some quite difficult sections of rock.
