The walk is a combination of seashore, woodland and heather joined by some quiet streets, a real mixture in fact. There is a modest climb, which gives good views and a farm shop at the start that makes an excellent base. The short stretch along the shore can be muddy as can one footpath towards the end, although I understand that this is to be surfaced with gravel in spring 2009 - an update would be welcome from anybody doing this walk. As you leave the shore at about the halfway point there is a pub.
