This walk is for the most part on bridleways and on private roads belonging to a water company, so the going is fairly easy. The climbs also are steady rather than steep and the first takes you to the edge of moorland, with a wide expanse of open country to the north. As it is outside the honeypot areas of the Dales, you will find it less frequented; in fact, we met only a group of lads on a D of E expedition (seen in the shot at Waymark 5).

A lovely walk, and mostly the instructions were correct, though perhaps one more waypoint at SD944601 would have been helpful to make it clear that you don't follow the path south but head east on the track after waypoint 8.
