From the golden-stoned village of Horley, to two others with the same characteristic, Wroxton and Horton, the explorer is captivated by the charm of these picturesque communities. Separated by just a few miles, they are individual and completely rural, with wonderful countryside surrounding them. The whole route, on narrow lanes and minor roads, is a retreat from the hurly-burly of modern-day stresses and a joy to participate in.
