This is an enjoyable walk around part of Brodick Estate and Country Park. The route starts and finishes amongst beautiful gardens adjoining the castle, in between following woodland trails and gorges. There are some uphill and downhill stretches, justifying the 'moderate' tag. Brodick Castle, Estate and Country Park are managed by the National Trust for Scotland and there is an entry charge for non-members. Altogether there are ten miles of trails, paths and tracks here and this four-mile route offers a good representative sample of what's on offer.
