Kimmeridge is a spectacular coastal village offering a wealth of history and spectacular views to go with it! This route starts off at a free car park just outside of the village and takes you along the road through this beautiful coastal area.

The route passes the local museum and restaurant before heading down to the clifftop South West Coast Path. The clifftop path offers superb views of this dramatic coastline, including views of Gad Cliff and Clavells Tower.

The route then starts a short ascent to the summit of Tyneham Cap and at 167m above sea level the views are extensive in all directions, including to the ruined village of Tyneham and the highest point in Purbeck: Swyre Head.

The path then returns along the entire crest of the hill that leads down to the car park at the start of the walk.
