Starting in Kincardine O'Neil, this walk follows narrow lanes through agricultural scenery, then gradually rises and enters a piece of mature woodland. Thereafter the route leads down to the Dess Waterfall. Although the stream is quite small, the waterfall is impressive for its size. Within earshot of a road, it has until recently, been hidden from it. This walk is the best way to get a good view of the waterfall. After the waterfall the path continues downwards through woodland until it reaches the Deeside Way, which is followed back to the start, through woodland then past open fields

My first time trying this walk, and if this is an easy one not looking forward to the harder ones, still an enjoyable walk lovely waterfall and very nice scenery that last hill done me in though, still first real walk of the year and much harder than my usual Knockie viewpoint and Five Bridges walk that we do most weeks at Glentanar

A few trees down across the paths after last months storms, but all are passable with care. Dee's Teas in Kincardine O'Neil High Street serve great teas and sandwiches etc and were very welcoming to walking group.
