The regular trains and short distances between stations on the Fife Circle Railway Line from Edinburgh mean that it is ideal for use when walking along the stunning Fife Coast

This walk starts at Kinghorn station and after leaving Kinghorn follows well maintained paths and tracks to the toposcope on the summit of the Binn with excellent views over the Forth to Edinburgh and the Pentlands and also to the Ochil and Lomond Hills before descending to Burntisland and visiting the old town before rejoining the railway line at Burntisland Station

Compared to the official Fife Coast Path route between Kinghorn and Burntisland this walk has much to recommend it
