Starting in the picturesque village of Lavenham with it's historic buildings and church, this circular walk follows a low ridge on the south side of the River Brett before crossing the valley at Monks Eleigh, then climbing via an old Roman road to Monks Eleigh Tye (a tiny hamlet), then crossing farmland paths to reach the equally tiny hamlet of Whelp Street. From here you turn west, using more field paths to follow the ridge north of the River Brett back to Lavenham. The church just past the car park is well worth a visit too.

Refreshments can be found at numerous places within the heart of the village.
All paths were clear and dry when the walk was submitted (April 2022).
