This easy linear walk can be undertaken from Leeds to Castleford, or by choosing exit points along the route to suit. Navigation is easy and often signposted and public transport is available along the way. The paths are continually being upgraded and are well-maintained and used by walkers, cyclists and anglers.
Most of the walk is part of the Trans-Pennine Way, bridleways and public footpaths and I have had no problems walking and cycling this route over the past four years.
