A fairly easy walk to follow, much of it along good tracks with two very different parts. The walk starts and ends in relatively flat countryside, heading across fields and along country lanes and passing through two small but attractive Cotswold villages. However, the walk changes character completely as it reaches Ozleworth Bottom. After making a steep descent, a good track is followed along the length of this unspoilt and isolated valley, much of it through woodland, although there are some breaks in the woodland into grassy openings along the way.

The climb out of Ozleworth Bottom is also steep, the only real climb of the walk. The track will then lead to Tresham and the walk continues across fields back to Leighterton. There is a good pub at Leighterton, the Royal Oak, where the walk starts and ends.

The track through Ozleworth Bottom was somewhat uneven and muddy, even in July, and looked likely to be difficult at wetter times of the year. At WM17 the field was impassable, thick with corn and with no visible path left unplanted. We turned right to walk around it and rejoin the route at WM18.

A very pleasant walk with some fine views over Ozleworth Bottom and very easy to follow directions. Keep a look out for Boxwell Court, a beautiful country house with it's own chapel (sadly not open to the public). We did this walk on a chilly autumnal Sunday afternoon so wrap up warmly as parts of the walk are quite exposed 03/11/2013 :-)
