This is an easy beach walk which takes in part of the Fife coastal path, passing through the picturesque village of Lower Largo, the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk, (the sailor who inspired Daniel Defoe to write Robinson Crusoe). The walk is best carried out with two cars, unless you are continuing further, towards Elie. A nominal charge allows you to park all day at the car park at Shell Bay caravan park.
