A superb little walk from Little Bourton to the edge of Cropredy and then on to Great Bourton, all pretty villages with attractive houses and cottages, some with names which indicate their former use, such as Anvil Cottage, Nailers Cottage and Forge Cottage. The route is rural, over arable fields and pastures with pronounced ridge and furrow patterns from medieval ploughing times and good views across the Cherwell Valley. Interesting churches with historical connections and a number of good pubs feature on this easy ramble.
