Save Our Footpaths - get off the beaten track, this circular walk is along footpaths which are not often used. It is an excellent walk for anyone wanting to 'get away' from it all, as it's very unlikely you will meet another walker on this route. It's quite flat and takes you alongside meadows and over fields of crops and connects a series of farms. It will be a bit muddy in places in winter and there are 20 stiles to climb over, most of them in fair order. If you have one take a walking stick to fend off a nosey cow, but they all ignored me. The return route brings you up a very rural and attractive lane, and there are short sections that go through woods. Although rarely used the route is quite easy to follow, and probably looks at its best in spring.

The route is probably suitable for children, senior citizens and anyone in-between. Good for dogs that you can lift over the stiles, but hopeless for wheelchairs and buggies. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled will but in winter boots will be best, and there should be no problems for anyone wearing shorts. On your route there are toilets and refreshments in the pub at the far end of Little Budworth village, but no other facilities on this walk.
