This is a very nice way to spend a short day out, as you go along the path by the loch until you get to the Kernsary Farm buildings. Here you join a very good land-rover track which you follow all the way back to Poolewe, through some very pleasant scenery and finish your walk by the banks of the River Ewe.

5/6/2017 - JEREMY GRIFFITHS

A first class walk although it was a glorious day which makes all the difference. The directions are all still correct and there's a fine new footbridge at WP7. To be recommended.

8/25/2005 - Keith Mead

This is a very fine circular walk, and not too strenuous. But in Summer, use a good midge repellent for the stretch beside Lock Kernsary! (The path across the field at WP6 is now quite distinct - and goes to the LEFT of the tree.)
