From the lovely setting of the large duck-pond in Long Itchington, this is a very enjoyable walk in the pleasant surrounds of rural Warwickshire, visiting Leamington Hastings and Birdingbury, both small, interesting and lovely villages.

Hi folks, My wife and I enjoyed this walk earlier today but we encountered a navigation problem: Between Waypoints 7 and 8, after crossing the stile and entering the field containing the words 'Davenport Farm' on the 25:000 map, the footpath has been blocked by the building of fenced enclosures. We managed to work around as follows: Having crossed the stile to enter the field, turn right and follow the footpath back to the road. Turn left to follow the road to the next field boundary (just before Davenport Farm). Turn left to follow the track along the field boundary before turning right to regain the footpath back to Long Itchington as published. Best wishes and thanks for the excellent walks! Jim Betts
