Longtown - Upper Brooks - Old Court Farm - Escley Brook - Longtown

This part of Herefordshire has some of the characteristics of Wales. There are Welsh-sounding names and the area is only just off the mountains. The route follows a stream up to the top of the hill before following a ridge walk with views in all directions. The return route is via the Escley Brook.

13-11-2022 - AVOID THIS WALK. . . Poor directional comments plus numerous stiles have been destroyed. One of the worst walks I have done from this site despite the stunning scenery and clement weather. First bridge by ford has also been wrecked. Extremely muddy around gates, plus at the end, the castle is now behind ugly metal fences.
