The walk is short, with one steepish climb (which can be omitted) but it is a splendid introduction to a splendid town. The start, high above Ludlow, has a panorama which includes the castle, the town, the parish church (almost the size of a cathedral) and behind it all, the great bulk of Titterstone Brown Clee. A descent to one of Ludlow's two bridges leads to a lovely riverside walk followed by a stroll around the town, which will be a good guide for those unfamiliar with it.
