This walk, the simplest that I have ever written, goes out from Luque, a lovely Subbetica town, along a track. The track takes you fairly gently up to the Subbetica heights, with splendid 360-degree views. As you pass through these mountains you will surely see the griffon vultures sailing along the cliff edges. You will also be able to see La Tiñosa, Subbetica's highest peak, with distant views of the snow-covered Sierra Nevada mountains from November to June on clear days. You just follow the one track up and back down to the outskirts of Carcabuey.
