This walk starts on the route of an old railway, now a cycle / walking track. On the railway track you pass through two tunnels. After leaving the track the walk is across arable and animal farmland. En route are pubs for refreshments, the site of a medieval manor and a museum.

You may wish to bring a bright torch for walking through the unlit tunnels. It is possible to walk through without a torch (and my mini-maglight was so dim that I gave up and didn't use it).

There are three pubs on the walk at Braybrooke, Arthingworth and Harrington (the pub in Braybrooke is a short extra excursion).

Just before Harrington is the site of a mediaeval manor and the still visible landscaping of its gardens.

After Harrington is the Carpetbagger Aviation Museum

Lovely walk - we scored it 8.5 out of 10 because of the one mile near enough to the A14 to be bothered by the noise. The Tollemache Arms was near enough to the end of the walk to be a very welcome and excellent lunch stop.

We did this walk on 9/9/06. A good walk but at instruction 21 it tells you to cross the A14 which is extremely busy at the best of times. A better alternative is to turn left at instruction 21 and walk along this road and across the road bridge over the A14 then at the far side of the bridge there is an access road to an aviation museum. Go down this road and at the point it turns to the left you are at instruction 24.
