An easy walk in flat, open countryside. From the pretty village of Merton, the walk starts by the church in the main street and soon takes paths and bridleways through fields and meadows, crossing the M40 to arrive at the attractive village of Murcott with its wonderful Nut Tree Inn, an idyllic setting of picture-book quality. The motorway is recrossed at another point on the way back to Merton, but is soon left behind and forgotten. Distant views and interesting village architecture in a very pleasant area, make this an appealing little country walk.
