This walk is very well-waymarked, most markers having the 'Circular Walk' sign on them. It is a demanding walk with two good climbs, but the views are extensive. It is a quiet part of Monmouthshire and although a lot of the route is across fields the hilliness of the area negates any feel of 'fields and farms'. In summer the view shows a patchwork of fields before meeting the horizon at the Welsh Mountains.
