After a short section of quiet country lanes from the little village of Mortehoe (near Woolacombe), our walk takes us down an access track to Bull Point Lighthouse complex (closed to vehicular traffic), with wonderful views over open Devon farmland. The track now emerges onto the heathland of this spectacular section of North Devon coast, managed by the National Trust. Following the coast path with many stunning views, we will arrive at Rockham Bay with its peaceful sandy beach.

Continuing on from the bay, we come to a junction where walkers may return to Mortehoe, or for the more adventurous, there is an optional detour (about 3km) - and a very steep climb - to Morte Point, with extensive views over the coast and Lundy Island (17 miles away on a clear day).

Great short walk with time spent on the beach with our dog which he loved! Nice pub in the village for a well deserved pint! Thanks
