A pleasant country walk starting from the visitor centre at Mugdock Country Park, passing through woodland and alongside a loch.
The route includes the remains of a castle dating from the 14th Century, boardwalks over wild wetland, a lochside track and paths through old woodland. There are extensive views of the Campsie Fells and towards the City of Glasgow.
A section of the walk is on the West Highland Way.
