This walk begins at Newton Leys, a new housing development near the ever growing city of Milton Keynes. You can get refreshments at The Turing Key pub (named after Alan Turing, whose pioneering work as a codebreaker at nearby Bletchley Park helped Britain during WW2). The quiet villages that are passed through contrast with the modern development to reflect how this part of North Buckinghamshire has changed in the last sixty years. The walk is undemanding and well-signposted but can be muddy in places, so walking-boots are recommended.
