This is a lovely walk, easy for the first 7kms up to Seavy Slack, then a little harder in terms of climbing on the return to the village through the woodland above Newton Dale. The walk in the latter stages could be made easier by walking to Upper / Middle Farm via Stape Road and using the short section of the Tabular Hills route going east on the bridleway from Taylor Hill Farm, thus avoiding the Raindale Woods section. The paths, whilst well-defined are rarely walked so expect to see few people along the way. The White Swan pub in Newton on Rawcliffe is there for your return; however, check the opening times, as they are often closed during daytime hours outside the main holiday season.
