This is an interesting and scenic walk around the village of Newtyle. It is an easy, flat walk on paths and minor roads throughout. Much of the route is on disused railway embankments which make good paths and give good views over the surrounding countryside. One section passes through a deep cutting with rock walls covered in dripping water, mosses and ferns.
