A nice easy walk over rolling Cheshire countryside with a good variety of scenery and all the paths are well used, some more than others; and there are some long lengths of narrow country lanes with very pleasant outlooks. Everything was easy walking and no mud anywhere. There are several fields of crops and the only occasion a path directly crosses over a field it's a close-cut meadow. There were horses in several fields divided into paddocks and few other animals were visible. There are several bridle gates but only a couple of stiles.

The walk is suitable for children, senior citizens, and anyone in-between. Excellent for dogs, but hopeless for wheelchairs and buggies. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled, but boots will be best and there should be no problems for anyone wearing shorts. There was a small adventure style children's playground in Norley near the end of the walk.

At the start and finish there is food, drinks and toilets at the pub; and picnic tables and bench seats close by. There is a small village store just across the road from the pub, but no facilities of any kind on your route. If you book in advance, you should be able to get a good meal with a drink at the pub; an excellent finish to a good walk.
