This walk complements and can be combined with Walks 577, 640 and 1359. It uses excellent paths and a short section of country lane. You will cross picturesque farmland and delightful woodland and forest. You will also visit two Suffolk villages which are stuck in a time warp and en route is the Froize Inn, which is as renowned for its food as for its beverages. Orford too, at the start and finish of your walk, warrants a day of exploration at least. More details about its castle, Orford Ness and the surrounding area are to be found with Walk 577.

Yet another great walk, done on 23rd July 15 probably because of the variation , from farmland to heathland then some woodland and only a small amount of roadwork We did get a bit lost as we passed Sudbourn Church as the path does go left at the back of the church and we should have gone straight on here Cricket pitch at Sudbourn park is really unexpected All paths good as with most of the walks we have done, a credit to the farms who maintain them

Good varied walk with easy to follow instructions. Good dog-friendly pub near the quay in Orford.

Feb 2010 - great, varied walk. In the woods after waypoint 15, we saw quite a few muntjac deer. You need to stop every now and then and look into the woods, and you will see them grazing about 50 yards back.
