From the little town of Oseja de Sajambre we shall climb steadily northwards through beech forests full of wildlife as we eventually make our way to the little hill-village of Soto de Sajambre. From here we shall descend by a quiet lane and later through open pastureland to reach the village of Robota.
Carrying on down to the river below, we soon begin another steady climb as we make our way through woods and delightful scenery to return to Oseja de Sajambre and our start point.

This is an excellent walk, very well waymarked and described. The only quibble I would have is that the total climb seemed a lot more than the figure quoted. The last couple of kilometers are relentlessly upwards and a bit of a slog, relived only by being mostly in the shade. One word of warning is that the 'friendly bar' was closed all day that we did the walk. This was on a Wednesday and it may just have been a weekly closure day as there were plenty of signs that it was not permanently closed.
