A great little walk from the tiny Dorset village of Osmington Mills, following the SW coast path to beautiful Ringstead Bay, then on field-paths, tracks and woodland paths towards Upton, no more than a hamlet. Superb views across Weymouth Bay to Portland and over marvellous countryside are encountered along the way.

5/17/2014 - Angela Argent

Lovely walk in early May 2014. Section 7 was indeed magical, trickling stream, hidden pools and bathed in Bluebells! Instructions clear although did have a moments hesitation at section 9 when coming from the path to the holiday chalets, there are two paths both going downhill, the one needed is to the left. Some areas were very muddy mainly at the bottom of the two fields where there were cows. Also, had an encounter with rather frisky cows on section 8, adding to our memories of this walk. Had a good lunch at the Smugglers Inn which was for us two-thirds of the way around the walk as we started at Ringstead, it cost us £5 to park there for the day. Thank you Ron and Jenny for a great walk!

We walked this on a bright, cold December day and the views were superb. Sylvia and Tony Saunders.
