The walk starts 4km south-east of the picturesque village of Osmotherley, high on the edge of the extensive North York Moors, in the car park on Thimbleby Moor. It follows the Cleveland Way South, then turns right across Kepwick Moor. This section of the walk in particular has far-reaching views over the Vale of Mowbray and far beyond to the Yorkshire Dales. It then descends to pass through the peaceful Kepwick Valley and along very quiet country lanes, eventually to head north through the peaceful little picnic area at Silton Forest, before gradually following the forestry track back up to reach the car park from where we started.

A group of six of us walked this on Friday 10 August 2018. It is a great walk and follows the directions fairly well.
